IAJF Young Leadership

2024-25 Campaign

The Need

The Nova Music Festival, with its theme of "friendship, love, and infinite freedom,” was attended primarily by young adults in their 20’s and 30’s who shared a love of music and expression. The Hamas attack on the festival on October 7th, 2023, resulted in the murder of 364 festival-goers and the kidnapping of 40 others, as well as hundreds of injuries, making it the largest massacre of civilians in Israel’s history.  Due to the atrocities experienced and witnessed on October 7th and in its aftermath, thousands of festival attendees and their family members now require substantial emotional support and treatment to recover and once again become productive members of society.

The Project

For its fifth annual fundraising campaign, IAJF-NY Young Leadership Division (IAJF-YL) is raising donations for the healing journey of the Tribe of Nova survivors. Using a community-based approach, Tribe of Nova Foundation (TNF) and Beit Nova ("House of Nova"), its healing center and memorial, will enable long-term recovery from trauma, depression, isolation and other challenges. The programs offered are designed to build resilience and post-traumatic growth, and will preserve the memories of those lost for generations to come. TNF provides services to 3,480 survivors, 2,500 bereaved families and families of the Kidnapped, and close to 50,000 additional affected individuals and extended community.

IAJF-YL is proud to join the Tribe of Nova Foundation in ensuring "We will dance again.”
